What is the difference between a Club or Private Group?

Clubs = visible on map screen Private Groups = hidden

What is the difference between a Club or Private Group
1. Clubs are visible, searchable by name, and will show up in list view on the home screen and the map screen for what is near each player
2. Private Groups are hidden and NOT visible. They are meant for invite only members.
